Why I Compose 🌟 Victoria's Story

This is a photo of me at the age of four, crouched on the beach with my hands deep in the sand. You can see that I was something of a nature sprite who drew inspiration from the world around me. I started composing simple songs at the age of three and because I live for creating melodies, I haven't stopped. 

I'm a singer at heart and compose music every day using my voice. I love the qualities of the "naked" human voice, a pure instrument that needs nothing else to float... nothing extra, no embellishments to be musical.

When I'm singing with all the wisdom that's inside of me, I am music and music knows freedom. This is what I teach to my singing students.

Customised Lullabies was conceptualised so that I could share my love of lullabies with others. I now write dozens of original, heart-warming, a capella songs in the same style that mothers have used since time immemorial.

The human voice is the one instrument that babies love the most and so it is my wish that mothers everywhere follow my lead and learn to sing to their children. 

Music is powerful and inspirational, and while I've always shared my love of singing with everyone around me, I feel strongly about the need to share a more simple, soulful sound with babies and children. We need to return to our roots. I believe we're all nature sprites at heart 💛
